What are the benefits?
Lips are an important part of facial beauty. For many people, fuller and more luscious lips come high on their wish list. Lip enhancements using dermal fillers can restore lost volume, enhance the shape and give you the plumper pout you’ve always wanted.
What happens during the procedure?
Your appointment will start with a consultation to assess your areas for concern. We look at the shape and natural symmetry of your lips and plan where the enhancement is needed. We will provide you with a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream). Our nurse will then prepare the lips and carry out the injections. The dermal filler will be slowly injected in to the lips. You may experience some discomfort but most clients find the treatment entirely manageable with the local anaesthetic used.
Improvements are seen immediately after treatment, however your results will continue to improve over 2 weeks as the hyaluronic acid starts to bind moisture and plumps out the area treated.
How long will the results from dermal fillers last?
Juvederm Volift is a long lasting dermal filler giving results for 12-15 months.
At S18 Face Clinic we only use FDA approved dermal filler products which have consistently demonstrated safety, efficacy and predictability.
Will I require a follow up?
We do not routinely make a follow up appointment after a dermal fillers treatment.
If the desired fullness is not achieved in your first treatment, we can build up your lips by adding more dermal filler from two weeks after your initial treatment. Once the desired look is achieved it is just a case of maintaining your lips.
What happens after my appointment?
You can carry on with your day as normal after your treatment. Although it is important that you do not touch the area or apply make up for the first day to reduce the risk of injection site infection. Though you will be given full aftercare instructions following your treatment.
